How to troubleshoot if your Bluetooth
device is not connecting properly to your Windows 10 device, so we're going to go through a few different scenarios on
how to hopefully resolve this problem.
First, we're going to actually start by heading over to the
Start menu and left click on it, then type ‘services’. Then
click on that and wait for a second to load up, and
expand it to a
better view of what we're doing.
Find the ‘bluetooth support service’ and right-click on it then click on properties, change the ‘startup type’ to automatic. If service says stopped ,click the start button. Then click on apply and
okay to save our change and then you can close services window. Now try to connect your Bluetooth
device, if you're still experiencing
problems, then try on the next step.
The next step is heading over to the Start menu again, and left click on it. then type ‘troubleshooting’ and click
on that.
On the right side find the bluetooth and run the troubleshooter, be
patient and wait for a second until the troubleshooter complete detecting the
problems. If there nothing detected then you can close the troubleshooter, now
restart your computer to see if your bluetooth is working or not. If your
bluetooth still not working, then you can try the next step.
Get back to start menu, and type ‘device manager’ to
open the device manager. Find the
bluetooth and right click on whatever came up underneath. And then left click on update driver
software, now click on ‘search automatically for
updated driver software’.
This will begin scanning online for it and then after the scanning is complete you will
know whether the driver is up to date or not, you can also find out what driver version you're
running. So if you have to manually go
online and download additional software or if you wanted to see what version
you're running, compared to the latest version to know if you
actually are up-to-date or not. Then right click on it again, and click ‘properties’ and then in the new little context menu that appears, click on the driver tab. It will tell you what driver version you're
running, this is very important if you
have to go online and manually download the driver. And if you manually download the software, then all you have to do is go back to the bluetooth and right-click on it. Then
update
driver software and then just last click on ‘browse my computer for driver software’, and
find the downloaded software and just click on next until it finished.
Hopefully one of the three methods should work for you to fix the Bluetooth Device Not Working On Windows 10.
